The multi-depth pallet racking system with shuttle is an innovative solution allowing automatisation of drive-in racking and maximisation of its storage density through greater flexibility; it also ensures easier picking up and relocation of load units. A shuttle pallet racking system eliminates the need for a forklift to drive into racking lanes to retrieve palletised loads. The system facilitates the storing and picking of pallets according to LIFO and, in the case of double-access, FIFO bases. As a consequence of that, the traditional drive-in storage system becomes more flexible, since homogeneous loads are no longer required on the entire bay, but only on the single level.
